Baking has always been my passion. My life has its limits and baking sets me free.

So here is all the baking experiences I had in the bast few months that I didn't get a chance to put up yet.

I made this for a friend's daughter.  She loves Simpsons.  The cake had doughnut sugar cookies around the base and a sugar cookie sign.  Homer Simpson was made out of fondant and so was her van.  The van is a replica of Lindsay's own van.  I even went and painted some of the decals onto the van.

This Goofy cake was for my sister April.  She loves the character Goofy.  I had trouble with this one, but in the end I free-handed Goofy onto the cake and she loved it.

This cake I made for Mother's Day this year.  The temperature in the house made it hard for the flowers to form correctly.  The plan was to make the cake look like a potted plant.  The mini m&m's I used for decoration on the pot and crumbled cake is the dirt.  The cake was a two layer 6in cake making it a more personal cake just for my mom.  She loves the color purple so the flowers I made are purple.

This I made tonight.  In our house a bag of apples can sit forever and go bad.  So I decided to make an apple dessert.  And the easiest thing I could think of to do is a pie.  I used my ribbon cutter from my fondant kit to make the lattice strips.

Wow it has been forever since I was on here. I have been very busy and I know that is no excuse.  I don't have all the pictures on my computer yet on what I have been baking since my last post but I will talk about what I have done and put pictures up later.  :)  The pictures I have now are of a birthday cake that I made for my roommate Kristen.  I told my roommates if they wanted a birthday cake to tell me what they wanted and I would make it. The cake was a simple yellow cake that was made to look like a rainbow.  On top I made a design that she found online and added some flowers.   This was the first time that I did icing flowers.  When doing the Wilton classes icing flowers are first before the fondant flowers but I like to be different. I learned how to make fondant flowers before icing flowers.  I am very good at looking at a picture or a series of pictures and learning how to do something, also trial and error works ;).
While at college I made a cupcake with marshmellow topping so it looked like a poinsettia flower for Christmas.  Everyone loved them at the party.  I made lots of the cookies that I made last year no new ones.  This summer though I have a punch of ideas and hopefully enough time to at least try half of them.  A lot of the ideas I found on pinterest which my friend Kristen got me hooked on.  Hopefully later this week I will post some more pictures of what I have done and what I will be doing.  :)
